Liz Muir leading Daniel Mander prosecutes youth defendant for a series of ‘stranger’ rapes

Elizabeth Muir and Daniel Mander

Elizabeth Muir, leading Dan Mander, prosecuted a youth defendant in Isleworth Crown Court for a series of predatory ‘stranger’ rapes committed against young women. The case was particularly complex due to the age and vulnerability of the complainants.

The defendant was convicted of multiple counts of sexual assault and rape and will be sentenced in February 2026. An application to lift the reporting restrictions preventing the identification of the defendant will also be heard at sentence.

Elizabeth and Daniel were instructed by Samiya Chamberlain of London RASSO. The case was investigated by the Metropolitan Police Sapphire Unit with the assistance of The Gangs Unit.
