Elizabeth is an experienced, fair and determined advocate practicing exclusively in criminal law. She undertakes criminal cases on behalf of both the Prosecution and the Defence. Her practice encompasses all areas of serious crime including murder, fraud, serious sexual offences, drug conspiracies and serious violent offences.

She has been a member of the CPS Rape and Serious Sexual Offences panel since 2013. She has a particular specialism in dealing with cases of a serious sexual nature appearing regularly for both the Prosecution and the Defence.

Elizabeth has undertaken specialist training in dealing with vulnerable witnesses and has experience dealing with very young child witnesses and young defendants.

Elizabeth worked as an Attorney in the Department of Prosecutions in Belize and prosecuted 23 murder cases as sole prosecution counsel. She was then appointed as the first ever Attorney for the Belize Police Department.

R v RRJ & Others Operation Celtic (2025)

Leading Prosecution Counsel instructed by East Midlands Complex Case Unit. Leading Tom Parker.

Prosecution of a conspiracy to import and supply 64 kgs of high-purity cocaine, worth over £1.9 million, involving organised crime groups from Mexico, Peru, Israel and the UK. The cocaine was imported from Peru concealed within a vintage Cadillac car. Following a trial at Luton Crown Court all defendants were convicted and sentenced to terms of imprisonment totalling almost 100 years.

R v LH & Others (2025) Defence Counsel

D charged with s18 and Aggravated Burglary. Three defendants were accused of breaking into the home of another and attacking him with machetes and knives. He sustained life-changing injuries. The case turned upon the cross examination of identification witnesses. D was acquitted of all charges

R v NG (2025) Defence Counsel

D charged with 21 counts of Rape and Serious Sexual Offences against four separate child complainants. The defence was that the allegations were made as a result of an ongoing family feud. Following a three week trial D was acquitted of all charges.

R v LM & Others Operation Glint (2024) Prosecution Junior Counsel instructed by East Midlands Complex Case Unit.

The case involved the operation of a county lines drug network supplying Cocaine and cannabis from within prison.

R v RG Operation Dogtail (2024) Defence Counsel.

Represented one of twelve defendants accused of smuggling drugs and mobile telephones into HMP Parc.

The Defendant was one of only four defendants acquitted of all charges.

R v KM Operation Abyss (2024) Junior Defence Counsel.

Led by Mary Prior KC. Defending a young mother who was initially charged with the Attempted Murder of her 11-week-old baby. This was a complex case in which the prosecution claimed that D suffered from Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII) and had deliberately starved her child prior to attempting to smother him. D had complex psychological needs and was extremely vulnerable. The case revolved around the testimony of the prosecution’s medical experts. D was acquitted of all counts.

R v RV & Others Operation Vansfare (2024) Junior Defence Counsel

Defended a lady charged with Conspiracy to Control Prostitution, Modern Slavery and Money Laundering. Following an 8 week trial D was acquitted of all charges.

R v CB & Others Operation Aeration (2024) Junior Defence Counsel. Representing a 16 year old who had been jointly charged with another 3 youths with the murder of another 16 year old. Joint enterprise, group attack with a machete. Read the coverage here.

R v JG & Others Operation Virtuality (2023) Prosecution Junior instructed by East Midlands Complex Crime Unit. This case involved a series of shootings in the Nottingham area. These had stemmed from feuds between rival OCG’s in relation to drug territory and county lines. The prosecution involved detailed analysis of a vast amount of telephone, cell site, drill music and ANPR evidence. The trial resulted in the conviction of all defendants. Read the coverage here.

R v DP & Others Operation Flare (2023) Sole Prosecution Counsel. Trial and sentence of defendants who had been in an OCG involving complex county lines drugs and firearms offences. Read the coverage here.

R v A & Others Operation Zeus (2022) Prosecution Counsel Sole prosecution counsel in a drug conspiracy involving a number of Albanian nationals and employees of a UK based hydroponic supplier.

R v B Operation Travis (2022) Defence counsel for the first defendant. Mass riot in Newcastle City Centre between Black Lives Matter Activists and The North East Front-Line Patriots.
