The United Kingdom’s government faced a pivotal legal challenge at the High Court regarding the export of F-35 fighter jet components used by Israel. The case was brought by Al-Haq, a Palestinian rights organisation, with support from the Global Legal Action Network (GLAN).
Rachel Toney acted as Special Advocate, led by Tim Buley KC in this highly significant case.
The four-day judicial review, which began on Tuesday 13th May, aimed to challenge the legality of the UK’s export of F-35 fighter jet components amidst allegations that they were being used by Israel in military operations in Gaza.
