We are delighted to welcome Georgina Swinglehurst to 36 Family.
Georgina was called to the Bar in 2019 and is a specialist family law barrister who acts in all areas of private family law, particularly financial remedy proceedings, private children disputes, international family law issues such as child relocation, cohabitation disputes, and applications under the FLA 1996 (domestic violence).
Georgina was nominated for ‘Family Law Young Barrister of the Year’ at the most recent Family Law Awards in 2025. She has also been recognised as a “Rising Star (Tier 1)” in the Legal 500 for both financial remedy and children matters, as well as “Up and Coming” in Chambers and Partners for matrimonial finances.
Prior to joining Chambers, Georgina worked at a leading London law firm in Mayfair, specialising in financial remedies and private children law for ultra-high net worth clients. These cases often involved complex financial structures, international aspects, pre-nuptial agreements, or large asset claims under Part III of the Matrimonial and Family Proceedings Act.
