Elizabeth Muir represented a defendant charged with Rape and Assault by Penetration at Lincoln Crown Court.
Elizabeth cross-examined the prosecution forensic scientist in relation to secondary transfer of DNA. She then called James Clery of Clery Forensics to explain secondary transfer and the various methods of transfer to the jury. He did so in a clear, compelling manner.
The jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on both counts.
Elizabeth was instructed by Isabelle Murray (Sly) and Carys Forber-Heyward of Reeds Solicitors, Northampton.
