James Bruce, leading Diane Mundill, prosecuted three men for their part in shooting a handgun at an occupied house in the middle of the night. One of the five shots hit the occupier as she went to the kitchen, seriously injuring her. A fourth man was convicted for his role in stealing the car used for the offence.
James and Diane worked closely with officers from the West Midlands Police major crime team to ensure the evidence was presented in a cogent and powerful way at trial.
The trial at Wolverhampton lasted three and a half weeks, with the jury returning unanimous verdicts after two and a half days. The offenders will be sentenced in March.
