36 P&HR prepares for cases following the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024

Following passage of the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024, members of 36 Public and Human Rights have been working hard to prepare for the cases the bill will bring.

As a team we recently held our first ‘Safety of Rwanda Act’ meeting to discuss key provisions, the risks of removal under the act and the challenges available. We intend to meet regularly to proactively share knowledge and provide updates in cases affected by the Act to ensure that we, our instructing solicitors and lay clients are represented to the highest standard possible with the new challenges we are likely to face.

To discuss any enquiries you might have in relation to the Act and to enquire into counsel availability, please contact our senior clerks: Charlie Labrum or Phil Silverman.
