Lara was called to the Bar having graduated from the Bar Course with Distinctions in every module. Previously, she was awarded a First-Class LLB from Durham University. Her academic achievements have been recognised through institutional scholarships at each stage of her studies.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Lara gained valuable experience working in the Advisory team at a leading top-tier global accountancy firm. She worked on a range of matters including insolvency proceedings, business valuations and small claims matters. This provided Lara with first-hand experience in forensic financial analysis to support the preparation of expert reports used in financial remedy proceedings.

Lara is also an experienced vocalist and harpist and provided tuition to students on a range of musical and theatrical disciplines. Her contributions to the arts were recognised through the Vice-Chancellors Scholarship at Durham University.
