Following a four-day trial at Oxford Crown Court, a unanimous jury verdict brought this case to a close, with all charges resolved in favour of the defendant after just three hours of deliberation.
The defendant faced seven serious historic allegations of sexual abuse, alleged to have occurred in the 1980s when he was still a teenager. The case spanned nearly three years from arrest to verdict, causing tremendous emotional strain on both the defendant, a man of previously unblemished character, and his family.
