Refugee Week – Refugee Law Initiative

Eric Fripp

Eric Fripp, 36 Group. London.

As Refugee Week continues, we are proud to share the first in a six-part blog series from the Refugee Law Initiative, examining how refugee status should be determined in cases with a military service context.

‘Deserters, Draft Evaders, and Refugee Law: Application of the Refugee Definition in Military Service Cases’ is written by Eric Fripp, Joint Head of 36 Public & Human Rights and published in a blog series of Refugee Law Initiative, School of Advanced Study, University of London.

In this piece introducing critical issues, to be taken up by further papers/authors in a blog series from RLI, Eric explores key elements in the refugee definition as they bear in military service cases.
