As our Refugee Week series nears its close, we are proud to feature a thoughtful reflection from Abiodun Michael Olatokun FRSA, junior barrister at 36 Public & Human Rights, on a pivotal case in refugee law: Help Refugees v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2018] EWCA Civ 2098.
Alongside a busy court practice and having represented clients in over 100 hearings, Abiodun is a dedicated legal educator. He has taught Tort, Public Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Evidence and Human Rights at university level, and his online course, Citizenship and the Rule of Law, has reached over 26,000 students globally, making it one of the most successful human rights programmes in the world.
