The members and clerks of 36 Stone are proud to announce that Ravi Aswani is to be appointed as King’s Counsel.
Ravi will take his oath and be appointed in a ceremony in the spring (likely to be on 23rd March) before the Lord Chancellor.
Ravi has been a member of Chambers for his entire career. He is a commercial dispute resolution barrister, highly regarded and sought after across the world to assist with cutting edge disputes. He has a broad practice which covers several areas including in particular shipping and international trade, commodities, energy and oil and gas, metals and mining, insurance and re-insurance, banking and finance. Ravi has an extensive international arbitration practice. He has been instructed in arbitrations seated in several jurisdictions under a number of applicable laws, both ad hoc (in particular LMAA and UNCITRAL Rules) as well as institutional arbitration (in particular ICC, LCIA and SIAC). In addition, he is often instructed in commercial litigation in the Business and Property Courts, primarily the Commercial Court. Ravi’s profile can be viewed here.
