We are delighted to welcome Meredith Major to 36 Family.
Meredith was called to the bar in 2015 and has established a strong reputation as an expert children law barrister.
She is regularly instructed in high profile and serious public law (care) cases, for local authorities, parents, children (whether through Children’s Guardians or directly) and for family members. These cases often involve long fact-finding hearings dealing with allegations of serious injury and death, sexual abuse and ‘honour’-based violence. Meredith regularly appears in the High Court and the Court of Appeal.
She also has a very strong practice in private law children cases, which often involve serious allegations of domestic or other abuse, alienating behaviours and complicated international and jurisdictional issues.
