36 Crime welcomes applications for tenancy

36 Crime welcomes applications for tenancy with a closing date of Friday 19th January 2024.

We are looking for individuals from 5 years’ experience upwards to join our team of 4 silks, 51 juniors, 2 probationary tenants and a pupil. 22 of the team are RASSO accredited.

We expect candidates to be able to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills to practice at the highest level but we recognise that, in some instances, and for many different reasons, some may not have been able to undertake the level of work, or develop the kind of practice that they aspire to. At 36 Crime we are committed to working with successful candidates to help them achieve their goals, with the help of fellow members of Chambers, and our proactive supportive clerking team.

If you would like to know more about the practice development opportunities we can offer, our rent structure or anything else about 36 Crime Team or The 36 Group before applying please contact Michelle Simpson, our Practice Manager at michelle@36crime.co.uk to arrange a confidential telephone or Zoom meeting. If you prefer to speak to one of our 55 crime team members please contact them direct or contact Michelle and she will arrange for you to speak to someone suitable in the team. Please find our members list here.

As you would expect, we treat all enquiries in the strictest confidence throughout the process.

Application is by letter and CV to michelle@36crime.co.uk by Friday 19th January 2024.

We welcome applications from individual barristers, groups of barristers, solicitors who wish to transfer to the bar, in-house barristers wishing to return to independent practice and others able to practice from chambers under the The Bar Standards Board regulatory framework.
