36 Immigration Response to the Ministry of Justice’s Judicial Review Reform Consultation
In response the Ministry of Justice’s consultation paper ‘Judicial Review Reform: The Government Response to the Independent Review of Administrative Law’ the members of 36 Immigration have endorsed the separate responses prepared on behalf of the Administrative Law Bar Association (‘ALBA’), Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (‘ILPA’), and Public Law Project (‘PLP’), which members of the team had the opportunity to read in advance of submission.
Members of 36 Immigration would have liked to have responded more fully to the consultation and drawn on the particular experience of our members to supplement these responses, however, the time provided within the consultation was insufficient to do so. 36 Immigration believes that the requests for an extension of time from both the Law Society of England and Wales and the General Council of the Bar were well founded and it is disappointing that they were not acceded to.
Our brief response can be found here.
