James Collins specialises in all aspects of Public and Administrative Law with a particular interest in and reputation for Immigration and Human Rights Law. He is regularly instructed in many of the cutting edge challenges in this area and has been involved in a series of seminal cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and more recently the Supreme Court.

James specialises in Judicial Review as well as Statutory Appeals while at Tribunal level he is regularly instructed in high profile cases and has been involved in many reported and ‘Country Guidance’ decisions of the IAT, AIT and Upper Tribunal. He has also represented in a number of applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

James is committed to providing legal services and representation to the most vulnerable members of society and in 2006 was Barrister of the Year at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards.
