Florence Iveson’s main practice areas are criminal and public law work with a strong interest in extradition and immigration.
Florence completed a mixed pupillage with 36 Bedford Row in 2012 which has equipped her to move comfortably and confidently between different tribunals. Her main practice areas are criminal and public law work, with a strong interest in extradition and immigration.
She has appeared in the Court of Appeal and appears regularly in the High Court. Florence gained an expertise in extradition law after spending a year seconded to the CPS Extradition Unit and now acts for both defence and prosecution. She is currently defending in a group of joined cases challenging extradition to Bulgaria on the basis of Article 3.
Florence’s interest in international crime has lead to her working on a complex multi–jurisdictional case for the Serious Fraud Office involving possible international corporate corruption. Florence also has an interest in consumer law, having acted for Trading Standards Authorities many times, spoken at the annual TSI conference and also provided training for Trading Standards Officers.
Florence has undertaken many immigration and asylum appeals, including in the Upper Tribunal. She has appeared in the Court of Appeal and appears regularly in the High Court.
In 2019 Florence was appointed to the Attorney General's C Panel of Junior Counsel for a 5 year term
