Appeal Cases
R v JC
Representing the appellant in the appeal against convictions of Rape, Sexual Assault and False Imprisonment on the grounds that the judge at first instance had erred in allowing the prosceution to adduce the appellant's previous historical conviction of Rape. Appeal allowed, convictions quashed and re-trial ordered. Emma secured an acquittal at the re-trial.

Having successfully applied to exclude identification evidence, Emma then successfully defended the Prosecution appeal of a terminatory ruling and was commended by their Lordships for her excellent conduct of the case.
