Key cases
R v Campbell
Andrew prosecuted Patrick Campbell who was convicted after trial in respect of 11 counts against 4 boys ranging in age from 10 to 15 years of age. At trial we were able to establish that Campbell, whose offending also revealed a fetish for children’s underwear, had groomed these children before going on to abuse them. He was deemed “dangerous” and received an extended sentence.
R v Ferataj and Cenaj
In this case Andrew prosecuted two men who had exploited a student attending a city centre night club. CCTV showed the men carrying the unconscious woman into a waiting taxi, and although they claimed to be acting as “good samaritans” we were able to prove that, once back at her student accommodation, they raped their vulnerable victim. Matthew Rowcliffe defended Cenaj.
