Areas of expertise
Nicole has a mixed practice of family finance (matrimonial finance and TOLATA), domestic abuse injunctions, and private children law proceedings. Prior to studying the BPTC, she completed a summer internship at Scott, Bhoorasingh and Bonnick in Jamaica. Following the BPTC, she worked as a family law paralegal for a Legal 500 firm for 2 years before pupillage. During that time she assisted on a multi-million TOLATA claim.

Finance
Nicole’s matrimonial finance cases regularly include issues of third-party property interests, non-matrimonial property, nuptial agreements, welfare benefits and non-disclosure issues. She has experience in financial remedies across a mixture of asset levels. Nicole also writes case summaries for the Financial Remedies Journal.
Her TOLATA work includes but is not limited to drafting pleadings, representing parties at mediation, and advising on settlements.
Nicole also accepts instructions in Schedule 1 cases.
Children & Modern Families
Nicole is frequently instructed in private children work. Her cases involve allegations of domestic abuse, applications by relatives. She has a particular interest and experience in leave to remove, relocation and change of name cases.

Nicole represents clients at mediation and private FDRs, with the hope to soon also do so at arbitration.
