Sebastian Walker and Samuel Skinner KC feature in the tenth issue of this year’s Criminal Law Review

Samuel Skinner KC and Sebastian Walker

Samuel Skinner KC and Sebastian Walker have been published in the tenth issue of this year’s Criminal Law Review, addressing the difficulties of pursuing confiscation proceedings against individuals under 18.

In an article titled ‘Confiscating the proceeds of crime from children and young people: Should you break the piggy bank?’, the pair examine an issue that receives no coverage in any of the main practitioner texts and set out to establish:

– the legal availability of confiscation in relation to those under 18
– the public interest considerations in pursuing confiscation against those under 18; and
– the practical issues with enforcing such orders.

The article is now available on Westlaw.

Both Sebastian and Samuel are frequently instructed in large, paper-heavy, and complex financial crime cases, as well as civil and criminal proceeds of crime matters. They are available for instruction in this area.
