Lady-Gené Waszkewitz

Acquittal after trial

Lady-Gené Waszkewitz represented a defendant charged with Unlawful wounding contrary to section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act at Snaresbrook Crown Court. The Crown alleged that during a heated argument with his partner he pushed her into a mirror causing this to break and the shards to lodge into her buttocks.

During the trial the jury heard evidence of the defendant’s previous conviction for an offence of violence.

After a careful and thorough cross-examination of the complainant, the jury returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty.

Lady-Gené was assisted and instructed by Harminder Rana of Elliot Stern solicitors.
